
Couples Counseling
When we feel disconnected from our partner it seeps into all areas of our life. Couples counseling is a form of therapy designed to increase connection, resolve conflicts, and improve communication. The goal is not to eliminate conflict but instead learn how to manage conflict in a healthy and effective manner, increasing understanding and closeness.

One of the primary benefits of couples counseling is improved communication. Many couples struggle with ineffective communication tools such as criticism, defensiveness, and the silent treatment. In sessions we work to replace with more effective communication tools and behaviors.

Couples counseling provides a safe environment for couples to address and resolve conflict. We can work to identify underlying issues. Often times we go round and round fighting over minute details instead of addressing the meaning.
Increase Intimacy
Sex is an important part of romantic relationships. Yet sex is only a part of intimacy. Often times when couples are struggling to connect sexually they are also struggling in other areas of intimacy and it is important to rebuild intimacy with intention. In session we can work to identify safe and healthy ways to reintroduce intimacy into your relationship.

A loving and supportive relationship has many benefits including improving our mental health, decreasing stress, improving sleep, and an increased satisfaction with life.
Rebuild Trust
Addressing breaches of trust can be overwhelming. Counseling can be instrumental in healing and rebuilding a stronger foundation of trust after infidelity or betrayal.
Develop Healthy Boundaries
Many of us were never taught about how to identify, set, and enforce boundaries. Boundaries can even seem like a rejection or abandonment. In fact healthy boundaries make for a healthy relationship. In session we create a safe container to explore boundaries.
